Third-party licenses

Last updated: 13 July 2026

tsoro is built with open-source software. This page credits the projects and fonts we rely on and points to their licenses. We are grateful to their authors.

Libraries in the editor

The tsoro editor runs in your browser and includes these open-source libraries: React and React DOM, three.js, React Three Fiber, drei, and React Three postprocessing, and Framer Motion. All are used under the MIT License.

The Firebase JavaScript SDK is used under the Apache License 2.0.

Their many smaller dependencies are used under permissive licenses (MIT, ISC, BSD, Zlib, and Apache 2.0).

Fonts

All fonts are open licensed and served from our own site (nothing loads from a third-party font service). Roboto Slab is used under the Apache License 2.0.

Nunito, Roboto, Inter, Open Sans, Montserrat, Poppins, Work Sans, DM Sans, Playfair Display, Merriweather, Lora, Libre Baskerville, Bitter, JetBrains Mono, Space Mono, IBM Plex Mono, Bebas Neue, Oswald, Caveat, and Pacifico are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Video encoding

Your clips are encoded on our servers with FFmpeg (licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later), using the H.264 encoder. FFmpeg runs on our side only and is never part of the app you use or the video you download.
