Privacy policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This page explains what information tsoro collects, why, and how you can control it. We keep this in plain English on purpose; if anything is unclear, email us at support@tsoro.co and we will explain.

What this covers

This policy covers tsoro, the browser tool for turning your screen recordings into a 3D product demo clip, and the account, storage, and payment features that go with it.

tsoro is operated by Ashton Berry, who is the data controller for the information described on this page. Contact: support@tsoro.co.

The account we create for you

When you first open the editor, we automatically create an anonymous account so your work can be saved. You can later register that account with an email address and password, or with Google or GitHub sign in.

If you register with email, we use it to sign you in, to send account emails (confirming your address, or resetting your password), and to send export notifications (your clip is ready, or a render failed). We do not send marketing email today.

What we store

The media you upload (screen recordings and screenshots), the projects you build from them, and the clips we render for you.

A record of your credit balance and any top ups (the credits ledger), and referral codes if you use or share one.

Service logs, which help us diagnose problems and keep the service reliable. Logs are kept for around 30 days.

There are storage limits to keep the service fair: 200 MB per uploaded file, and 1 GB and 50 files per account.

What your browser stores

Your browser holds a client id and a few small preferences in local storage, and your sign in session in its IndexedDB storage, so you do not have to sign in again on every visit.

If you drop a file on the landing page, we briefly hold it in a temporary in-browser store just long enough to hand it to the editor, which uploads it to your media pool when it opens.

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on tsoro today, and our pages serve their fonts from our own site rather than a third-party font service. The one third-party script is Paddle's checkout, which loads only when you go to buy credit.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the product, and we only share what each one needs to do its job:

Google Cloud and Firebase host our authentication, file storage, database, and the rendering pipeline itself.

Resend sends our transactional emails, such as export notifications.

When you buy render credit, Paddle processes the payment as the merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment details, any VAT or sales tax, and payment related emails directly. We never see or store your card details.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep things

Rendered clips are available to download for 30 days. After that, a storage lifecycle rule deletes the file automatically. The recordings and screenshots you upload are deleted by the same 30 day rule.

Removing an item from your media pool takes it out of your project straight away. The uploaded file itself is removed by the 30 day rule above, or immediately if you use the delete option on your account page.

From your account page you can delete all of your content (uploads, clips, and projects) in one step, or close your account entirely. Both take effect straight away, and you do not need to email us.

Closing your account removes your content and your sign in immediately. We keep the minimal record of any credit purchases that the law requires us to retain, but it is no longer linked to a login you can use, and any remaining credit is forfeited.

Where your data lives

Our servers run on Google Cloud in the United States, so your uploads, projects, clips, and account records are stored and processed there. Resend and Paddle also process data in the United States.

If you are in the UK or the EU, this means your information is transferred outside your region. Our providers make the standard contractual commitments that UK and EU law requires for those transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have legal rights over your information: to see a copy of it, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable form, or object to how it is used.

Deletion you can do yourself from your account page. For anything else, email support@tsoro.co and we will help. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information in a meaningful way, we will update this page and change the date at the top.

Contact

You can delete your data or close your account yourself, at any time, from your account page. For anything else about this policy, email support@tsoro.co.
